“That Old McNally Magic”
Pulino's Bar and Pizzeria, Keith McNally's newest restaurant featuring pizzas, house-made butchery, and wood-fired fare by A-16's Nate Appleman is now open.
Read more about McNally from his roots in London to the beginning of it all at Odeon, in New York Magazine's feature this week. Written by Benjamin Wallace, it's really quite a good read (and it includes a little McNally dig at Danny Meyer and a sort-of apology to Bruni for his tirade after the Morandi review.) For menus and more, visit Grub Street.
Mangia!
Pulino's is located at 282 Bowery at Houston, 212-226-1966.

Let's face it, this guys restaurants, with posssibly one exception, have all been p.r./NY Mag driven mediocrities replete with EPCOT worthy homage decor and a cast of over the hill 80s types and desperate housewives. It looks like now his ambition has diminished even further and he's jumping on the "artisinal pizza" /low cost of goods high profit bandwagon. Let the daytrippers from NJ and the tourists eat at his places.
