“Beer Island gets its own BBQ Truck!”

The Beach Wars between Water Taxi Beach and the new Beer Island just got a little more interesting.

Beer Island (3070 Stillwell Ave in Coney Island) now has its very own brand new BBQ Truck. It’s owned and run by Chris McGee, a veteran of Blue Smoke and Jean-Georges. He’s serving Kansas City Style BBQ (where he’s from)—KC ribs, Pulled pork, pulled chicken, Brisket, Chicken ribs (essentially a smoked chicken leg), burgers, hot dogs, smoked turkey burgers, salads, slaw, and chips. Dessert is a slice of watermelon. He’s also serving KC-style strawberry soda…and the beer is right next door!

The hours are noon- 10 pm, Tuesday and Wednesday, noon- midnight Thursday- Sunday. Closed Mondays.
