Beacon's 12th Annual Beefsteak

If you've ever celebrated Mardi Gras in New Orleans, you know it's an incomparable experience. New York isn't too shabby, though. At Beacon's 12^th annual Beefsteak on March 21^st (aka, Fat Tuesday), it'll be a night full of gluttony starting at 6:30 p.m. Think DeBragga New York's Butcher, Brooklyn Brewery, Maker's Mark and The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn all gathered in one room. How couldn't it be a good party? To be more specific, there will be 1,000 mini burgers, 35 pounds of crab meat, 600 lamb chops, 40 pounds of bacon-wrapped kidneys, 900 pints of Brooklyn Brewery's specially brewed pilsner and much, much more. The $160 price tag is all inclusive and you won't even have to feel guilty about all the fun because a portion of the proceeds will benefit Green Chimneys Children's Services, which works with children in need of various social services.
